KISMET was nominated for the IDFA Best Mid-Length Documentary Award 2013.

The other nominees in the Mid-Length category were “Soul Food Stories” by Tonislav Hristov (Bulgaria / Finland) and “Pussy Versus Putin” by Gogol’s Wives Productions, Anonymous Anonymous (Russia) which finally won the award. The awards were announced on Friday 29 November, at the IDFA closing ceremony in the Compagnietheater, Amsterdam.
