Lulo & the Neighborhood

IN DEVELOPMENT

“Lulo & the Neighborhood” is an 13x6min animated series  that follows Lulo, a kind-hearted yet mischievous squirrel-cat, through her everyday adventures in a contemporary urban neighborhood inspired by Athenian apartment blocks. With boundless curiosity and a joyful outlook on the world, Lulo turns ordinary moments—at home, at school, in the park, or at the local street market—into small explorations filled with humor, imagination, and emotion.

At the heart of the series is her family: Mama Kiri and Papa Pico, working parents who are far from perfect. They make mistakes, apologize, and find creative ways to make things right, building relationships of trust with their children. Around Lulo unfolds a circle of friends and neighbors with distinct personalities, reflecting the diversity of a vibrant community.

Blending social realism with gentle absurdity and inventive humor, the series explores universal values such as friendship, diversity, empathy, collaboration, emotional awareness, and the need to belong. Without ever becoming didactic, each episode offers a tender “guided tour” through the emotional world of children, inspiring a more caring and joyful society.
